This is last video in our insurance series (like here) with Scott Dawes from Dawes Smith Partners. Last week we discussed Different Purposes of Life Insurance and today I’ve got Scott to explain “General Vs Personal Insurance” to help you understand the differences between them both.
This topic can be a bit technical and hence why i’ve brought in Scott to explain in plain english. Scott helps us identify the types of insurance that we might be insured by in the future or the existing ones that we already have.
General, typically protects your personal possessions, like your car, house and insures you on the next 12 months once renewal is done.
Personal intends to protect people. An insurer can’t discriminate against you and guarantees renewable cover as long as you keep paying the premiums.
